Our sincere thanks go out to the volunteers for making the re-launch of the JIB SET a reality.
Peter Derviller - Commodore
Peter sailed with the original JIB SET. After a landlocked period in Calgary, Peter returned to find the re-launch of the JIB SET a fantastic place to focus his creative energy. As Commodore, Peter's role is to provide leadership and direction to the executive and members who are engaged in club activities.
Bob Davis - Vice Commodore
Bob is CYA instructor and keen sailor. Bob's role is to foster seamanship through education, training and safety. Bob is also in the lead role working with our webmaster, Craig Hanna, in developing the club’s new website, which will be the hub of club communication and member networking.
Fraser Martyniuk - Club Manager
Fraser trained with the Cooper Boating Club fleet and joined JIB SET in June, 2008. Fraser is responsible for member support services and will ensure the club’s boats are properly maintained.
Don Aubertin - Chair, Regatta & Racing
For a long time the leader of the Friday Night racing volunteer group, Don 's role is to organize club regattas, set courses and administer club racing.
Susan Stuart - Chair, Membership Committee
Susan was also instrumental in administering the successful Friday Night Racing activities and has now taken on the responsibility for promoting the club, welcoming new members and communicating with the membership.
This interim group will see us through the launch, after which, the membership shall be instrumental in building a complete executive group to see the club through its first year back on the water.
