Safety First

Remember, the fall season is a great time to get down to Granville island and practice some of those much needed safe boating skills. Reefing, Man overboard drills, and Heaving-to are all necessary off season sailing skills. Practicing and performing will ensure their ease, when they're really needed.

More Maintenance clinics
Special thanks to those who came out for the Capri mast stepping. Due to logistical reasons, the stepping couldn't take place, so instead we learned how clean boat bottoms while moored! After the scrubbing, everybody got to learn how to scull a M242.Take a peek at the pictures. As always there are more volunteer opportunities coming up, as well as chances to learn a new skill or two. Email Jibset if you'd like to participate and we will add you to the maintenance mailing list!
Martin 244 Update

Recently launched, and with a brand new waterline and bottom paint, the M244 is back on our docks. Our designer Don Martin has recently returned from coaching the Canadian Olympic team in Beijing and is currently helping us complete sea trials. The boat will be ready to go in the next few weeks then released exclusively to Jib Set members.
